The ‘Arts Factory’ was created in the 70’s by hippies and local and international artists. In the 80’s it was an internationally recognised rock and roll venue. The ‘Birthplace’ of much of the fame and spirit of Byron Bay, The Arts Factory Lodge still maintains that original spirit today. Come and relax in our enchanted 5 acre, subtropical haven. Laze by the pool, swing in the hammocks and soak up the friendly atmosphere for which we are universally famous. Located only 10 minutes walk from the beach this Byron Bay hostel offers a wide range of Groovy Accommodation, ranging from Teepees, Island Bungalows, Dorms, Doubles and even Jungle Camping. Our Funky Workshops include Didgeridoo Making, African Drumming and Yoga. Join in a game of table tennis, basketball or volleyball. Jump in the pool. Hang out in hip Byron Bay or relax on the spectacular beaches. In the evening enjoy DJ’s, Bands, Live Performances at the Byron Bay Brewery or the Zany Talent Show every Tuesday Night. We are an integral part of the Arts Factory Village which incorporates the Historic Byron Bay Brewery, The Byron Lounge Cinema and Buddha Gardens Day Spa. And if you are musically inclined, come and record your songs in paradise at Byron Hive Studio, our very own recording studio! Don’t miss the ‘Experience of a Lifetime’. Valid government issued photo ID is required for each guest at check-in. For bookings of more than one person in dorms we do our best to put everybody in the same room, but during busy periods it is not always possible, so cannot be guaranteed. Guests under 18 years of age must travel with a parent/guardian/teacher, and we recommend private rooms only. Blocked out dates, minimum stays, and surcharges for vouchers sold open-dated may be imposed during busy periods. Please inquire when booking/confirming. Vouchers are valid until the check-in date and are not transferable. Cancellations made throughout the duration of the booking will incur a 1 night cancellation fee. All remaining balances will be exchanged with a Nomads accommodation voucher. Cancellations made within 2 days of arrival and no shows will incur 100% cancellation fee. Cancellations must be made directly with the hostel booked.
