50 positions are available in Northern Tasmania for seasonal nursery labourers, to trim, bundle, weed and attend to plant matter. Work is expected to commence 3rd week in March and may extend for up to 9 months.
The job is physically demanding; therefore, you will need to be physically fit and healthy. You will need to be able to bend, crouch and stand for long periods of time. A standard working day will consist of approximately 8 hours. We require people who are motivated, quick learners, reliable and who are able to take and follow instructions. You will need to have the ability to work quickly and with accuracy. Prior experience is not necessary but desirable.
Successful candidates will be required to start work between 6 am and 7 am, and must be available from Monday to Saturday and would be required to work in a range of weather conditions. You will be expected to work in a team or individual capacity, must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and able to use trimming/pruning equipment.
Successful candidates will be offered employment on a casual basis under the Nursery Award 2010 hourly rate. Workers will be provided with a minimum average of 30 hours per week, including weekends.
