Our client requires up to 60 hardworking, nimble fingered and reliable farm workers to pack, sort, plant and harvest vegetables in the MYALUP WA area. MUST be available to start work in Dec 2021 and be committed to a minimum of 5 days per week, 8-10 hours per session for the duration of the season (approx. 7- 9 months). Varying early starts may apply (between 05:00-07:00) depending on crops/products readiness and management requirements. You will need to be available for possible extra hours of work to ensure all crops are harvested/sorted/packed as required by management. Flexibility in your availability is crucial in horticulture, as crops growth/harvest is weather driven and may be intermittent. Most work is outdoors, which can be cold & wet or hot & dirty. We need reliable and flexible workers who are physically fit. Regular lifting, standing and bending is required to pick/pack/sort products. Duties may include but are not limited to harvesting fresh vegetables in the farm fields, then cleaning, trimming and sorting them in packing sheds. You are required to work in a team. Ability to follow instructions, attention to detail and high concentration levels are required. Modern Horticultural Award 2020 casual hourly rate is on offer. Previous (and current) physical outdoor activities or lifestyle habits will be highly regarded. Ability to adhere to company QA and OH&S requirements is essential. Must have the ability to travel to, or reside in the Myalup area or surrounds, as no public transport is available to the farms. Work is offered through an agency on casual basis.
