80 workers are required for around 9 months’ work from September 2021 onwards for work on a vegetable farm in Werribee, South Victoria. Workers must be fit and capable of sustained heavy work. The mainly outdoors work will involve picking, packing, pruning, thinning and general crop maintenance on a variety of vegetables that may include lettuce, broccoli, fennel and many others. Hours of work will vary according to harvest requirements. Workers must be available for the whole 9 months. Wages will be paid at standard casual award rates and piece rates under the Horticulture Award 2020. Work will be over 5-6 days per week, depending on weather conditions with average minimum weekly work hours exceeding 30 hours per week. Due to the high physical demands of these positions and regular periods of hot and sometimes extremely cold weather workers will need to be physically fit and self-motivated.
