40 workers are required for around 6 months’ work from June 2021 onwards for work on a large citrus enterprise in the Gunnedah and Wee Waa areas of New South Wales. Workers must be fit and capable of sustained heavy work. The mainly outdoors work will involve picking, packing, pruning, thinning and general crop maintenance. Hours of work will vary according to harvest requirements. Workers must be available for the whole 6 months. Wages will be paid at standard casual award rates under the Horticulture Award 2010 and work will be over 5-6 days per week, depending on weather conditions with average minimum weekly work hours exceeding 30 hours per week. Due to the high physical demands of these positions and regular periods of hot and sometimes extremely cold weather workers will need to be physically fit and self-motivated. Successful applicants will need to provide own transport.
