My name is Alex and we run a unique family business near Casterton Vic.
It’s a farm with more than 15,000 sheep – which means there’s always work here!
We have had many backpackers before who always stay for longer than expected. One couple planned to stay for 4 weeks and ended up staying for 2 years.
We are looking for a couple to do some jobs around the farm. That can be all kinds of jobs that have something to do with sheep. Moving sheep, checking sheep, drafting sheep, assisting with the shearing, crutching, drenching sheep and stuff like that.
Farm experience would be good but it’s not necessary.
It is very much appreciated if one of the couple has some experience with child care, as we have two children between the ages of 2 and 4 who need to be looked after occasionally.
This job offers:
38+ hours per week (Mon-Fri) $25 per hr (more hours available if wanted)
free accommodation in a recently renovated house
Supports your 2nd or 3rd year visa extension
Great experience of typical Australian farm life
