Amusement Park Roles – Sydney Harbour (125 views)

We are looking for team members to join us in a range of exciting roles in Sydney! There will be two group interview dates you can attend to have the chance to work casual roles in customer service, hospitality, and events.

INTERVIEW DATE/TIME: Tuesday 22nd November OR Thursday 1st December between 3 to 6pm

With 9 new and exciting rides, we offer more twists and turns than ever before – we need you to join the team to be able to deliver the best of breed experience that we’re renowned for.

We are hiring for all of the following roles:

1. Rides Host – best suited to applicants over 18yrs

Round and round, some fast, some upside down – you name it, our rides do it! You will assist in the safe and efficient operation of our rides and attractions, and ensure all Guests have a safe, enjoyable and FUN experience. No previous experience is necessary.

2. Sideshow Games

Be a spruiker in Sideshow alley! Laugh and create memories for our Guests while they enjoy our classic sideshow games. Confidence, cashiering and customer service is key.

3. Merchandising Hosts

A trip isn’t complete without a souvenir. You’ll be selling everything from on-ride photos to gift shop ornaments, show bags and cool clothing.

4. Ticket Sellers

Start our guests visit with out-of-this-world service that sets the bar high for the rest of the team. You will be providing information on tickets and services on offer, managing Park entry or busy queue lines.

5. Food and Beverage

Serve up a whole lot of foodi-tainment working in any of our F&B areas: Quick Service outlets; Table Clearers, Baristas, POS Operators, Chefs, Kitchen Hands, Stock Runners & Event Bar Attendants.

6. Cleaning Stewards

Make the Park and facilities “sparkle”! You will be busy with sweeping, sanitising bathrooms, rubbish removal, sprucing up the Rides and Attractions and the polishing of fixtures and fittings.

7. Event – Front of House (Ushers, Cloak Attendants, Event ticket collect/entry Attendants)

Be part of some of the hottest gigs in Sydney where the best talent in town plays at The Big Top Sydney. Event Front of House work is available when shows are on, which does impact the regularity of work, but if you are keen to get event experience, then this role is perfect for you!

8. Venue Set-Up Crew

Join the team ‘behind the scenes’ setting up facilities and equipment for functions and events. This position will require you to roll up your sleeves where a day may be spent relocating and setting up furniture and equipment, or building staging and tiering, or placing tables/seating according to floor plans and clients’ specifications. Event set up work frequency varies according to events and functions bookings.

All applicants must:

Be well presented, with a vibrant, fun-loving personality and a warm, smile as big as our trademark face;
Have confidence to provide guest instructions about ticketing, ride safety spiels, sell a sideshow game, or serve up a pizza or coffee;
Natural showmanship to interact, delight and entertain guests during their visit in the Park;
Be well presented and confident with excellent customer interaction skills;
Hold a valid work visa
Be available to accept work across a wide variety of shifts when the park is open eg Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday (day & night) during non peak, and 7 days/nights during School Holidays (December & January) or special events.

Essential Qualifications:

NSW Working with Children Check is essential for all positions (18yrs+)
( If you don’t already possess a WWC, you must obtain one within 7 days of being offered a position);

NSW RSA competency card is essential for all positions (18yrs+).

(If you don’t already have a NSW RSA, you must obtain one within 7 days of being offered a position).

*** RSA & WWC licences are to be obtained at own expense, and is a condition of employment.

Bring your smile, personality and showmanship! During the audition, you will participate in fun group activities that require speaking in front of large groups, physical movement and working in teams to complete exercises. Please dress in suitable attire to ensure you can move freely, crouch and jump.

We are hiring all advertised roles in a combined group audition, so if you are not successful in your preferred role, we may also offer you work in a different position. Candidates will be selected for interview based on their participation, communication, enthusiasm and confidence in these activities.
