75 positions available in the Sunraysia region in Victoria and the Riverland region in South Australia on Almond and Citrus farms for picking and general farm labour which may include: citrus and almond picking, pegging and un-pegging dripper lines, general irrigation labour, general block detail labour, pulling out tree stakes, removal of tree guards, pruning young trees, chainsaw pruning, pole-saw pruning.
Work is due to start late May 2020 and is expected to last up to 12 months. Work will be paid at piece rates and hourly rates depending on the work duties.
Applicants must address the selection criteria and all claims against the selection criteria must be substantiated. Any applicants that fail to satisfy these requirements will not be considered.
SELECTION CRITERIA: You must be fit and healthy with good stamina and ability to hold and carry bags up to 25kg. Ability to climb up and down picking ladders. Ability to work in all weather conditions including early morning starts in frost conditions. Ability to follow instructions and learn and apply new processes quickly. Good hand and eye coordination. Ability to stand and walk on feet for long periods of time. Ability to bend frequently to tend to ground level tasks. Ability to operate chainsaws and other had tools as required. Availability to work Monday to Friday and weekends. Commitment to this position must be for the full term of employment.
Applicants living outside of the Riverland (SA) or Sunraysia (VIC) regions must demonstrate a commitment to relocating if required for the duration of the employment up to 12 months.
